Internship: an integral part of TMO
The internship takes place during the 6th semester of the Bachelor course. The aim of the internship programme is to enable the student to become familiar with the various facets of the way of doing business in a fashion company. In addition the internship is intended to put knowledge and skills acquired to the test. By means of the internship, TMO stays informed of the latest developments in the fashion trade. For this reason, TMO is in a position to align its teaching programme optimally to the wishes expressed by the fashion industry.
The principles of the TMO internship fit in with the general objective of TMO: to train young persons for future managerial positions or as independent businessmen in the fashion trade.
The benefits for participating in a TMO training vary for the different parties involved.
Students will gain a comprehensive knowledge of the fashion industry. The way of doing business in a fashion company in particular. Other skills and experiences students will gain during the Bachelor training are among others: carrying out productive work and learning how to take (joint) responsibilities. Learning how to apply theory into practice and further developing social skills will be emphasized in the training. Furthermore students will be well prepared to gain better insight into one’s own functioning in the profession and how to explore possible career opportunities.
TMO communicates with the fashion industry with regard to the training programme and current developments in the trade.
The fashion industry has a chance to participate in the training of future middle managers and future Chief Executive Officers. These employers get in touch with potential new employees. The fashion industry can make use of the fresh and critical perspective of TMO students and can use the results of the research performed.
